I'm thinking about Papa today, the third anniversary of his death. It's great to look again through the photos and thoughts to remember him, still missed along with Nan who passed away not long after him in May 2009.

The things which i most remember of Papa my grandfather and that will always stay with me are his witty sense of humour and would always quiz us on our general knowledge of Top of the Pops 1923... with a few bars from Slap that Base or some other song from that era; he always used to address my immediate side of the family as "Los Brasilianos Cha Cha Cha"; his way of having a cup of tea was a cup of "Cha" and had it very strong in the same china cup; his impecable appearance and always had alot of presence; his great stories from when he lived in India; his love of cricket and watching a test match in the kitchen or the back room on a tiny telly not to be disturbed by anyone; when speaking to two people at the same time he would say "the pair of you three"; it was a tradition to eat an apple after lunch; i would always by him as a speical treat some ginger chocolates or toffees which he loved; and finally my nickname from Papa was "Michicoo". I will always remember you Papa you will be greatly missed and will always be in my memory. Lots of love always, Michelle
